Betsy's Blossoms and Four You stamp sets

I was searching the web for a card idea and was inspired by a card created by Cindy McGurk.  I changed it up a bit and this is what I came up with.  I stamped the background with VersaMark. Sorry, but it does not show up very well in the photo.  I think it took me all of 10 minutes to make this card, such a change.  Normally,  it seems to take me forever to think up a design and then create the card.  So happy this was fast!    Happy Stampin!

Sketched Birthday and Bring on the Cake stamp sets

Still playing with the new Stampin' Up! Circle Card Thinlits dies, so much fun!  Prior to owning this die, I had never made a swing card, now I am not sure I can stop making them.  Initially, I was put off by the price, but considering there are 10 dies in the set it really is a good value.  Hope you will purchase the die and give swing cards a try.    Happy Stampin!

Truly Grateful, Gently Falling and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets

I am loving these stamp sets!  They lend themselves to so many great techniques. Today, I placed a folded baby wipe on a plate,  put drops of ink pad refills on the baby wipe, in roughly the shape of the leaf stamp, and used that as my stamp pad.  I had never tried to do this before and think the colors blended really well.  It was surprisingly easy.  I hope you will give it a try.    Happy Stampin!

Truly Grateful stamp set

We are having such nice weather today, finally temps are in the low 80's instead of the mid to high 90's . . . hurray.  I am so ready for cool days and crisp autumn nights.  This card reflects my desire for fall to arrive, soon!  I tried a new technique, I used a stipple brush (I included a picture of it with my card) to apply color to the card stock.  To achieve the void, I held the Big Shot Deco Label Collection framelit down while I applied the color.  Then I removed the framelit and cut the image out with the next larger size framelit.  To achieve the black backing to the image I used the Big Shot to cut the larger size framelit and cut that in half.  Then I used a framelit from the Circle Collection to cut out a circle.  I placed the circle behind the center of focal image and placed the black half pieces to the top and bottom.  I think it really turned out great, what do you think?    Happy Stampin!

Ornament Keepsakes and Flowering Flourishes stamp sets

I am having such a great time designing Christmas cards.  I do so hope you are being inspired and finding ideas for your own cards!  It seems as though fewer and fewer people are actually sending Christmas cards, but for those of us that do it is always a good plan to start early.  Mother and I send approximately 50 cards and sometimes it is really difficult to finally settle on a design.  However, once we pick the card, order the supplies and start assembly line stamping, it usually only takes 2 or 3 days to complete them.  When you finally settle on your card, why not purchase your supplies from me?  Just click on the "Order Online" button to the right of this post to enter my online store where you can find everything you need to complete your project.    Happy Stampin!

Gently Falling and Truly Grateful stamp sets and How to Create a Background using the Crayon Resist Stamping Technique Video

I was trying to think of a new technique to teach you in a video and remembered Crayon Resist.  I just received the Gently Falling and Truly Grateful stamp sets and knew they would lend themselves to this technique perfectly.  I'm planning on posting fall cards in addition to the Christmas cards, so again these sets are ideal.  I hope you find the video helpful and that you will try your hand at Crayon Resist.  Please leave a comment and let me know how you like the video.     Happy Stampin!

Gorgeous Grunge and Perfectly Penned stamp sets

I love these colors!  When looking through the Stampin' Up! annual catalog a new stamper could find the color choices overwhelming.  So, Stampin' Up! recommends that they pick a "rainbow."   The Polka Dot Parade DSP uses all the colors of the rainbow:  Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Marina Mist and Rich Razzleberry.  The colors are bright, cheerful and blend beautifully.  Hope you enjoy my card!  Remember, if you need any supplies just press the "Order Online" button to the right of this post and you will find everything you need, in my online store.    Happy Stampin!

Mosaic Madness stamp set

Boy, I just love Stampin' Up! bundles.  Stamps, punches, embossing folders, and framelits that match certainly make it easier to design a card.  And the 15% discount, when you purchase a bundle, doesn't hurt either.  As you go through the annual and holiday catalogs be sure to look for the boxes that say "Bundle & Save!"  On this particular card, I used the Mosaic Madness stamp set, the Mosaic punch and the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.  All of these coordinating products come together to create a beautiful, cohesive card.  Enjoy.    Happy Stampin!

Joyful Christmas stamps set

I think poinsettias are so beautiful and they bring to mind the holiday season and Christmas.   And with our air quality as bad as it is, five fires are burning locally and experts are saying there will be no escaping from the smoke until late October or early November, I need to think of crisp clear fall and winter air.  Oh, to go outside and take a deep breath.  So, I am again creating Christmas cards for you.  Bear with me, I am sure I won't stop making them until December 24th.    Happy Stampin!
