Stampin' Up! -- Four Feathers

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's "It's Masculine Monday" card  :)
I've been looking around on Google and Pinterest for ideas to use with the Stampin' Up! Four Feathers stamp set/Feathers Thinlits die bundle.  Thank you Linda Heller for my inspiration!! The stamp set originally made it's debut in the Stampin' Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog.  But, due to popular demand it remains in the current Occasions Catalog and it is STILL available as a bundle -- which saves you 15%!  How cool is that!!

I really like the look of the silver embossing on the silver foil paper. . .it almost looks like metal. This card really goes together quickly and would be just the ticket for that elusive masculine card.

As you can see in my close up. . .I obviously did not use the embossing buddy enough, because of the little speckles of embossing powder all around my feathers. So, don't make the same mistake, be sure to use your embossing buddy. One other thing that is important to note:  the silver foil card stock can be a bit slippery, so be careful when stamping the feathers.

Hope you will give the card a try!! If you need any of the supplies I used or just want to go shopping my online store is open for business 24/7. Just click on the shopping cart in the upper right hand side of this post or for a specific item you can click on the links below.

Stampin' Up! -- Indescribable Gift

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's card  :)

I LOVE to watercolor and this stamp set really lends itself to that medium! I used just a few simple supplies and I love how it turned out!

I know that with a little practice, you could also achieve this look! Let me tell you how I did it. . .

First, I stamped and embossed the image with white embossing powder on watercolor paper. Next, I squeezed the stamp pads to transfer ink to the lid. I got out my Aqua Painter and using just a little color at a time, I colored the flowers, leaves, and stem. It is very important to apply a very pale wash of color first, then add additional color, that is more intense in color, bit by bit. I stamped the Happy Easter in VersaMark on Always Artichoke card stock and embossed it with white embossing powder.

I do hope you will give watercoloring a try! It is such an easy process to get dramatic effects. You just have to be willing to try. . .

Stampin' Up! -- Four Feathers

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's "It's Masculine Monday" card  :)

I have just started experimenting with the Stampin' Up! Four Feathers stamp set and matching Feathers Thinlits die. I know, I'm a little late to the party (set was released in January), but better late than never.

This card allowed me to play with several different techniques. Did you notice the lines to the right and left of the stamped image? I used the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create the raised lines. I think it really helped to fill in the empty space on the Wild Wasabi layer.

The first step was stamp the sentiment in VersaMark and emboss with black embossing powder.

To achieve the blended look to the stamped image, I first stamped the feathers in VersaMark on Whisper White card stock and embossed with white embossing powder. I then applied the Wild Wasabi and Marina Mist ink with a sponge dauber, rubbing and blending the colors together. I really like how great the colors work together!

Finally, I stamped the feather images with VersaMark on vellum and embossed with white embossing powder. I ran the vellum through my Big Shot with the Feathers Thinlits Dies. I attached them to my card with Mini Glue Dots and added a bow made with black embroidery floss.

I hope you have enjoyed this "It's Masculine Monday" card and will give it a try. If you need any of the supplies I used be sure and stop by my online store.

Stampin' Up! -- Butterflies Thinlits Die

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's card, hope you enjoy it!  :)

I am LOVING the Butterflies Thinlits Dies!! Unfortunately, they are out of stock at the moment, but they WILL be back and I KNOW you will love them as much as I do.  I just can't stop using them. Today's card is a little more involved, but certainly worth the effort.

I'm a little new at adding descriptions to my photo collage. . .will try to make the font bigger next time. Hopefully, you can read them and follow the instructions. The most important thing is, only cut one side of the card at a time! Also, I did put a window sheet behind both sides of the card, not just the left side.

Think I will make another card with the same technique, but different products and film for my YouTube channel.

Stampin' Up! -- Flower Patch

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's card  :)

I had such a fun time making this card! I've been playing with the Stampin' Up! Decorative Masks (stencils). On Monday's post I sponged circles, today I sponged the hearts in three different colors of ink and then outlined the heart with a white gel pen. I think the white outline really helps the hearts to "pop".   Oh, and just to make things sparkly, I used the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.

I hope you will follow the instructions above and give this cute card a try. Think of all the possibilities. . .

Stampin' Up! -- Walk in the Wild

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's "It's Masculine Monday" card  :)

Today's card was inspired by the kwerner design blog  I LOVED the card she made and decided to try my hand at it using Stampin' Up! products. The card was actually very easy and came together very quickly.

The only thing you need to be very careful with is embossing. . .as you can see from my card, I have quite a few fly away white embossing powder sprinkles.  I did use the embossing buddy before adding the embossing powder, but obviously not quite enough. So, be generous and you should be fine. Oh, I forgot. . .the "happy birthday to you" stamp is from Lawn Fawn.
