Stampin' Up! -- You've Got This

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's Birthday Card :)

I've used two stamp sets (You've Got This and Happy Birthday, Everyone) and two of the new 2015-2017 In Colors (Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder) that can be found in the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. You can start ordering from that catalog on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

I am so excited for the new catalog! Imagine all the new stamps and accessories. . .my heart just goes pitter, pat!

To make the water coloring very simple, I just picked up some ink from the lid of the ink pad with my Aqua Painter and colored all over the image. Isn't it bright and cheery?

Stampin' Up! -- Sprinkles of Life

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's "It's Masculine Monday" card :)

Isn't this just the most adorable, fun card for the little boy in your life? I love the new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper, it is so perfect for your celebrations and as an added plus it coordinates with the new 2015-2017 In Colors.

You can Make a Difference by purchasing the Sprinkles of Life stamp set that I used. Purchase the set and Stampin' Up! will donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities . . .

Stampin' Up! has been supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities for many years and to date has donated more than 1 million dollars to the RMHC and their network of local RMHC Chapters.

This is such a great organization that provides housing for families of children that are undergoing medical treatments far from their homes.

I hope you will consider purchasing this adorable stamp set. As a little added bonus Stampin' Up! has created a coordinating Tree Builder Punch that makes it so much easier to use all the little stamps that are part of the set.

Stampin' Up! -- Serene Silhouettes

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's card :)

Because Father's Day is creeping up on us, I thought I would show you another masculine card.

I haven't made a card with the Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouettes stamp set for a very long time. Probably not what you would initially choose for a Father's Day card, but I think with the subdued color palette it worked out great.

To highlight the stamped image, I created a mask using the Ovals Collection Thinlits Dies. I placed the mask over the Smoky Slate card stock and sponged with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I picked up the ink on my sponge, tapped it off, and using very little pressure, rubbed around the oval mask. I wanted a highlighted area in the center of the image with the darkest coloring on the right side and bottom of the trees.

It was still needing something to give it some "pop" so I used the Big Shot to cut an oval out of Basic Black card stock and that really did the trick!!  Then, even though this is a masculine card, I could not resist adding a little black glitter.

Finally, I stamped my sentiment on a strip of Smoky Slate card stock, used my Banner Punch to create the tails and attached it to the card with Dimensionals.

Wish my father was still here, I know he would have loved this card!!

Stampin' Up! - Traveler and Crazy About You

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's "It's Masculine Monday" card :)

Sometimes, I just want to stretch myself and make a card that is tricky to figure out, but amazing when finished. So it went with this Father's Day card!

I think the most difficult part was laying out the pattern I scored. First, I stamped my design on the front of the Tip Top Taupe card stock. Then, I drew the lines, in pencil, on the back side of the card. Because I wanted the raised pattern to be on the front I was able to use the pencil lines as a guide when scoring the card. I used my Paper-Piercing Tool on the Stampin' Up! Pierce Mat to create the openings for my brads.

If you noticed, the strip of Lost Lagoon card stock, under the camera, looks a little fuzzy. I achieved that by running my Bone Folder over the card stock again and again until it began to separate. I separated the layers of the Lost Lagoon and glued it down to my card fuzzy side up. Wow, doesn't it look like suede?  LOVE IT!

Yes, making the card took a little extra time, but WOW was it worth it!!  I do hope you will give this a try. If you need any of the supplies I used, just click on the links below to go directly to my ONLINE store. Remember, it is open 24/7 to help with your shopping needs.

Stampin' Up! - Lovely Amazing You

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's card - a little departure from my usual  :)

This is such a sad time of year! Old favorite stamps and accessories are retiring, never to be seen again.  I know, I know. . .out  with the old and in with the new, but for a little while I will mourn the loss.

Are there Stampin' Up! products you love, but have not ordered? Well NOW is the time! What are you waiting for? Just CLICK HERE to check out the Retiring Product List and find out if some of your favorite items are going, going, gone. . .

I was designing this card and of course I HAD to pull out my Big Shot and emboss a layer with the Arrows Embossing Folder. Who knew when I first purchased my Big Shot just what a fabulous tool it would be for card making?  All I can say is . . . LOVE IT!

Yes, it is exciting, soon we will have 5, count 'em, 5 new In Colors to love and drool over. However, for now at least, I will definitely miss Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar.

But wait! The new colors Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder will be arriving shortly, and they are as wonderful as their names.  Trust me, you are going to LOVE them!!!

I've seen so many amazing cards on Pinterest that have the top layers of the card at an angle. So, I just had to try it. Truthfully, it was a little tricky to figure out the angles. . .but hey I really like how it turned out. How about you?

Hope you've enjoyed my card! If you need any of the products I used to make this card, just click on the links below and you will be taken directly to my ONLINE STORE. Which by the way, is open 24/7. . .how's that for service?  Please stop on by and fill your little cart with some FABULOUS Stampin' Up! goodies!!

Stampin' Up! -- Crazy About You and Hello You Thinlits

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's "It's Masculine Monday" card  :)

Like you I am always on the hunt for a great, simple guy card. I am so pleased with the look of this card. It took very little time and supplies and I think it just screams "It's Masculine Monday"

I used the new Crazy about You Stamp Set and Hello You Thinlits Dies bundle and the Adventure Bound DSP all of which can be found in the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  By the way, if you are interested in ordering items from the Occasions Catalog remember, the sales period ends on June 2, 2015. So, hurry, hurry, hurry!!

I really want the happy to be elevated above the card surface so I die cut four of them with my Big Shot out of the Early Espresso card stock and glued them together. Then I die cut a piece of tan fun foam and glued it to the Early Espresso "happy" finally, I applied Crystal Effects to make it shiny.

As you can see, taking time to apply the Crystal Effects and elevating the "happy" with fun foam really helps the over all image to pop right off the card. I am LOVIN the look!!

I do hope you will give this card a try. I have never used fun foam like this and will definitely do it again. Oh, in case you were wondering, I just picked up the fun foam at my local JoAnn's.

Stampin' Up! -- Flowering Flourishes & Video

Hi Stampers!
Welcome to today's card and video  :)

I received a request from Mary Jane to re-post this card and video, as the Pinterest links seem to be not working. So Mary Jane this is for you . . .

I love how this Faux Tile Technique gives the impression of raised tiles. To me, they almost look "puffy". I found this technique very easy to do and hope my video will help you achieve the same look. I used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set, the sentiment is from the now retired Bring on the Cake stamp set, and the Big Shot Apothecary Accents die, which will retire on June 2, 2015, for the tag.

This was the very first video I've ever made. I have received so many great responses to it and hope you enjoy seeing it the second time around.  One correction should be noted, when I am scoring the card I say to make the score at 1" and I should have said to make it in the corner. If this is confusing, just look at the card and give the video a second viewing and you will see how to correct my mistake.
