Double-Time stamping with the Swirly Bird stamp set

Welcome, Stampers  :)

Still very excited about my new stamp set!  Loving the Swirly Bird stamp set.  Imagine all  the possibilities . . .

Stampin' Up! colors that I used:

Just a couple more days, and you too can own this fun, new, Swirly Bird stamp set from Stampin' Up!

I thought it would be fun to use the Triple-Time stamping technique, but change it up a bit.  First, I only used two layers, so I am calling this Double-Time stamping.  Finally, instead of making the card layers straight, I rotated them to add some additional interest.

Check out the inside!  I masked off  the upper portion of the card with 3-M Post-it-Note tape, then stamped the swirly image to the card.  Love the interest it adds!  So very easy, yet it really adds some punch!!

It's Masculine Monday - Swirly Bird Father's Day Card

Welcome, Stampers  :)

Woohoo, new stamps in the house!!  I couldn't wait to use the new Swirly Bird bundle to make a nautical Father's Day card.

When you purchase the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits as a bundle, you will save 10%!   What a great deal!!   Think of all the amazing cards you can make with this set and die.

I used the new 2016-2018 In Color ink pad; Dapper Denim to create my background paper.  Oh, my gosh, I am in LOVE with this new color!!

I cut a strip to mount on the Real Red cardstock.  I sponged the remaining piece, to help add movement and depth to the "waves."   Amazing what a little sponging can do.

To add a little interest and an additional pop of pizzazz I stamped the sailboat on the inside of my card.  Takes such a small amount of time to do this, but it makes the inside of your cards pop.

Next time you're stamping, don't forget, the inside is just as important at the front, and your recipient will notice and appreciate it!!

It's Masculine Monday - Pop of Paradise Birthday Card

Hi, Stampers!   :)

Don't you just love a bright and cheery card?  This really makes me think of summers in Southern California and the many, many palm trees.

The Pop of Paradise stamp set, the Emerald Envy cardstock, and Emerald Envy ink are NEW Stampin' Up! products.

They will be available for purchase on June 1, 2016, when the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! annual catalog begins.

I wanted a background paper that went with the warm summer theme.  But, I couldn't find one that fit the bill.  Therefore, I created my own using the pineapple stamp, versamark ink, and gold embossing powder. Love how it looks!

The inside is quite simple, just stamped the pineapple and let it go at that.

It's Masculine Monday - Something Unexpected with Framelits

 Hi, Stampers   :)

For this Father's Day card I wanted to do something a little unexpected with my Lots of Labels Framelits dies and Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Colors I used:

I saw this technique on YouTube some time ago and knew that it would be perfect for today's card.   Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate the video again, so I cannot give her/him credit.  If this is your amazingly creative idea, thank you so much for sharing!!!

As I explain in my video, when aligning your die with the stamped image, be sure that the inside edges of the die touch the outside edge of your image.

You can see in picture #3 above that the top line intersects with his chest and the bottom line with his shoe.  This step is vital!  If the lines do not meet the image, the finished product will not turn out.

The rest is quite easy. Make your scissor cuts, insert your die, run through the Big Shot machine and fussy cut the stamped image.  So easy, yet looks so intricate.

Isn't this awesome!!  Think of all the possibilities. . .

You have learned a new technique.
I hope you will make one and let me know how it turns out.
I look forward to hearing from you!
