Welcome to today’s card and video 🙂
I received a request from Mary Jane to re-post this card and video, as the Pinterest links seem to be not working. So Mary Jane this is for you . . .
I love how this Faux Tile Technique gives the impression of raised tiles. To me, they almost look “puffy”. I found this technique very easy to do and hope my video will help you achieve the same look. I used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set, the sentiment is from the now retired Bring on the Cake stamp set, and the Big Shot Apothecary Accents die, which will retire on June 2, 2015, for the tag.
This was the very first video I’ve ever made. I have received so many great responses to it and hope you enjoy seeing it the second time around. One correction should be noted, when I am scoring the card I say to make the score at 1″ and I should have said to make it in the corner. If this is confusing, just look at the card and give the video a second viewing and you will see how to correct my mistake.

Thank you for the "how to" video – very nice card. Nice to learn a new technique.
You are so welcome, glad you liked it!!
What a fun technique, thanks!
Glad you liked it, Julie
Hi Kathleen, I love this card and the technique you used to make it. My only problem is you did not give us any dimensions on the size of the card etc. Some people just starting in the stamping scene may not already know what size to cut the card base, or the card face at. Just a suggestion. Love the card. Im going to make this card.
Such a pretty card, and I like the technique. Very impressive looking without too much difficulty!
Thank you, Gayle
