Well, I’m finally jumping on board the Pinwheel Tower card bandwagon and making my own Penguin Place Christmas Pinwheel Tower card. I’ve made several different pinwheel tower cards but hesitated to make a blog post or, heaven forbid, a YouTube video. So, today’s the day. I hope you enjoy the journey!
If you have not seen a pinwheel tower card and are wondering, “what the heck is that?” It is a card that consists of a “tower” and four panels and fits into any size envelope. My Penguin Place Christmas Pinwheel Tower card fits perfectly in a 5 x 7 (A7) envelope. Be sure to watch my video below for cardstock measurements based on envelope size.
I’ve chosen to decorate each panel differently using the Penguin Place Bundle from Stampin’ Up! and the Penguin Playmates 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
The Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper (DSP) is available as a FREE GIFT CHOICE with your $50 online Stampin’ Up! order through 30 September 2021. It is not for sale…so grab a pack while you can!
We start our pinwheel card journey with my first panel. I don’t know about you, but who doesn’t love a big old polar bear with a cheerful blue scarf and a Wonderful Snowflake behind him? Especially one sharing a “Friends like you make this season special” message. The Fresh Freesia Penguin Playmates DSP was die-cut with the Stitched So Sweetly die.
I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies on the Just Jade and Basic White cardstock to highlight my sentiment. I stamped the snowflakes with Balmy Blue ink, the trees with Just Jade ink, and the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. They are such an excellent background for the fussy-cut fox.
Oh my gosh! Nothing says “Let’s Celebrate” like two adorable, fun-filled penguins surrounded by colorful packages. I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut the Balmy Blue and snowflake-covered Basic White cardstocks.

This final panel reveals the all-important Merry Christmas sentiment with ample space to write your message. I know that a special person in your life would love to receive this Penguin Place Christmas Pinwheel Tower card!
