Daisy Lane — Friendship Card

Daisy Lane Friendship Card

I am so pleased that Stampin’ Up! decided to add the Daisy Lane stamp set with the smaller daisy and the beautiful fern.  They made it so simple to create this beautiful Daisy Lane Friendship Card.  It is also wonderful to have both the large and medium daisy punches.

You can find the bundle on page 23 of the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! annual catalog.  If you would like to purchase the products used to create this card or anything else you might want or “need” click HERE or on the links below this post.

Daisy Lane Friendship Card

I have always loved having a fern stamp and think this one is particularly beautiful and it fills the background with just the right touch to showcase the daisies.

Daisy Lane Friendship Card

I thought the “white space” was just a bit much.  So, I toned it down with the spatter stamp from the Waterfront stamp set. I wanted a very light touch to the “splatter,” so the stamp was tapped off twice before stamping.  Love the results!  The Clear Faceted Gems filled the centers of the daisies adding that all-important touch of glam and of course, the petals are colored with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Cutting Instructions:

  • Mossy Meadow cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″ (card base)
  • Merry Merlot cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
  • Whisper White cardstock 3″ x 11″ (stamp and punch 3 large daisies and 4 medium daisies)
  • Whisper White cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″ (inside of card)

Free as a Bird — Friendship Card

Free as a Bird Friendship Card

How can you not love these adorable birds from the Free as a Bird stamp set from Stampin’ Up!? The new Stitched Nested Labels die I used on the Gorgeous Grape cardstock helps highlight the bird images. LOVE them!

You can find the Free as a Bird stamp set and Stitched Nested Labels Dies in the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. Check them out in My Online Store.

Free as a Bird Friendship Card

I colored the images with Watercolor Pencils and blended the colors with the Blender Pens. Watch my video below to learn this easy coloring technique. Using the Layered Leaves embossing folder evokes the image of birds in a tree. Now, if only the Clear Wink of Stella that I used would show in my photo.

Free as a Bird Friendship Card

Do you hate to fussy cut? I know many of my friends do. So, I’ve created an alternate card for you.

Painted Glass — Happy Birthday Card

Happy Birthday card showcasing Painted Glass stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Wanting to create a stunning Happy Birthday card I used the Painted Glass stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I think the Painted Glass stamp set is so beautiful. The classic stained glass images are timeless and so versatile. You will find the Painted Glass stamp set and Stained Glass Thinlits Bundle in the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, check it out in My Online Store here. You will also find the coordinating Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ Designer Vellum in My Online Store here.

My card design was inspired by Dawn Griffith

My card partially opened:

I love how the front of the card covers the “Have a Beautiful Birthday” sentiment. But, you can open the card all the way allowing you to write more to the recipient.  Also, notice how the stained glass bird helps to hold the front of the card closed. I think that the new Gorgeous Grape is one of my favorite colors and doesn’t the Garden Trellis embossing folder add just the right touch to the overall appeal of the card?

His Light — Christmas Card

I love creating Christmas Cards. I decided to make a card celebrating the birth of Christ and how we should feel because of His birth. I am very happy with how this card turned out and am pleased how the simple sentiment “Rejoice” brings everything into focus.

Rooted in Nature — Masculine Card

Happy Thursday, Stampers

For some reason, many of us find it difficult to create masculine cards.  Well, I am happy to help with that struggle. This quick and easy card is perfect.  I hope you will create one for that special man in your life.  I really like the texture the Burlap Ribbon and Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder provide.  Those little touches can add a lot to a card!

Change the sentiment and this card is great for any occasion.

The Pinewood Planks embossing folder provides a great background to the tree. As you can see, I lightly rubbed the embossed cardstock with Soft Suede ink and a sponge dauber.  That helps bring out the texture and helps the die cut tree to “pop”.
