Even though we often need them, creating a heartfelt sympathy card can be very difficult. It does not matter whether it is for a loved one or a casual friend; they become a necessary part of our card making repertoire.
Wanting to design a card that was not only easy to replicate, but timeless, and thought-provoking, the Love of Leaves bundle, came to mind. With minimal stamping and the simplicity of a single leaf, this card ultimately expresses heartfelt sympathy.
I am hopeful the recipient will appreciate the calmness this card portrays and the thoughts of nature. When the time comes, and you require a sympathy card, I hope this will come to mind, and you too will create one.

I love the look of my Parisian Beauty Birthday Card. I had such a fun time putting all the parts together to form a beautiful but elegant card.
Repetition stamping can sometimes be quite tricky. However, the Parisian Beauty sentiment easily lines up; don’t be afraid to try it. Did you notice the beautiful embossed background? I used the Country Floral 3D embossing folder. One of my very favorites!
I find it helps to repeat a color three times on my cards. In particular, the gold-edged ribbon, the gold on the Golden Honey DSP, and the gold embossed Eiffel tower. Consequently, the color repetition helps your eye travel across the card and adds continuity to the design.
Did you notice the fleur-de-lis stamped in Blushing Bride? It adds just that touch of color to tie everything together. I love my simple, elegant card. Hopefully, you are inspired to stamp your own Parisian Beauty Birthday card.
It’s the time of year when we deck the halls with holly. This time of year is by far my very favorite. I love celebrating the birth of Christ, cold nights, fireplaces blazing, Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel, the mantle decorated with holly, lights on the homes in my neighborhood, and the kindness of strangers.
Check out the shimmer and shine of the holly berries, aren’t they beautiful. I achieved it with the new Shimmery Crystal Effects from Stampin’ Up!
Whenever I can, I love stamping in the lower right corner on the inside of my cards. Doing this is such a simple touch; however, it adds additional interest. You might try it on your next card. I hope my Christmas card will inspire you to deck the halls with holly!
